Understanding neural mechanisms of hearing and auditory cognition
Description
We conduct research inĀ auditory neuroscience, with a focus on understanding theĀ neural mechanisms of hearingĀ and extending this knowledge toĀ cognitive applications. The labās core research investigates how humans selectively attend to speech and sound in real-world listening environments, and how these processes are represented and decoded in the brain. To achieve this, the lab integratesĀ EEG-based brain signal analysis,Ā speech envelope tracking,Ā auditory attention decoding,Ā signal processing, andĀ machine learningĀ to quantitatively interpret auditory and cognitive responses.
