Aging-related hearing loss (ARHL) has attained considerable attention as a modifiable factor for dementia. The current paper will present linguistic-cognitive assessment approaches for the early detection of high-risk groups with ARHL for dementia at two levels, specifically targeted for Korean speakers using a verb-final language: (1) sentence-level assessment and (2) word-level assessment. Furthermore, the talk will introduce up-to-date evidence of auricular vagus nerve stimulation effects on working memory enhancement as a potential intervention approach for Korean-speaking older adults with ARHL.
